London South Bank University Free Legal Advice Clinic


Just round the corner from The Gateway Centre at Caxton House on Borough Road is South Bank University’s Free Legal Advice Clinic. This face-to-face advice service is staffed by trained Student Clinic Volunteers working under the supervision of practising solicitors. It enables the students to gain practical skills whilst providing a much needed community service.

The LSBU Legal Advice Clinic is open Wednesdays (11am – 2pm) and Thursdays (2pm-5pm) during term time (in 2012: 31 Jan – 10 May, and 26 Sept – 13 Dec).

  • We provide basic information on any topic.
  • We provide generalist advice in welfare benefits, consumer issues, employment,
    family and housing.
  • We can direct you to appropriate local advice and legal services
  • We provide specialist legal advice in family and housing at Thursday evening sessions
    (accessible via our daytime drop-ins).
