Future of Council Housing in Southwark

Thursday 22 March 2012, 6pm

Peckham Settlement, Goldsmith Road, London, SE15 5TF

We’d like hear your views on the future of council housing in Southwark at a meeting for tenants and leaseholders.

Southwark Council is planning ahead to improve your housing over the next 30 years and has asked an independent Housing Commission, a group of housing specialists, to think about what is needed to provide council housing that is affordable, sustainable and meets your needs for years to come.
To do so we want to hear from you, the tenants and leaseholders, about what can be done to improve council housing.
The Housing Commission, chaired by Jan Luba QC, will listen to your views – good and bad – on topics such as rents, how housing is allocated, how the council can deal with a shortage in funding for housing, and what’s best for generations to come.
